George Canyon at The Ranch

I absolutely love catching a band in a small intimate setting and The Ranch in Barrie was a perfect venue to catch the legendary Mr. George Canyon. A local band kicked off the night and they had the crowd singing along to country favourites.

George took the stage right after and had the crowd engaged right from start to finish. Everyone was dancing and singing to George’s new and old classics and heartfelt ballads to stomping party anthems. He even had some girls dancing on the bar to Betty’s Buns.

Mr. Canyon invited a very talented on the rise Ontario native from North Bay, Cory Marquardt to the stage. Who I had the pleasure to interview prior to the concert. (See Cory Marquardt Interview post.) They sang together one of Cory’s idols Merle Haggard, Mama Tried and completely rocked it!

George Canyon had us stompin’ and swayin’ all night long it was a great performance and one heck of a night!
