Debut EP From Danielle Ryan; Middle of the Madness

Danielle Ryan has just released her debut EP, Middle of the Madness. Ryan has delivered an incredibly powerful vocally and lyrically, well put together first EP! I had the opportunity to catch up with the budding artist and chat about how it all came together for her. 

“I am really excited and feeling good about it all! I feel like it’s been a long time coming, we started recording the EP in 2020 and now we get to release it for everyone to hear. This is the first EP I’ve ever released! 

“I started writing when I was young and I have tons of songs and it came down to what songs were the best and what stories I wanted to tell and that are most relevant. I wrote all the songs on the EP, with the exception of help on one, Pretending, which I wrote with my brother and Brian Howes who produced the EP. I am really excited about that one! We wrote it, and started out with just the piano and I thought it would be perfect if we could add an orchestra and that we could actually make it happen, I was just so pleased and it turned out just so perfectly!”

Danielle, as mentioned, writes her own music and the authenticity is showcased in her songs. It was great to hear from her about her true passion, telling her stories!

“I had to fight for that for many years, to find someone who wanted to work with me and accept that I wanted to be the writer behind my songs and to tell my stories. That’s just always what I wanted to do and I was so passionate about it. I honestly was never a good singer when I was younger, it was something that I had to work at. But I’ve always loved to write and that’s what kept me going! But to finally find the team to allow me to do that and I’m working with them now, has been just outstanding!”

Danielle was also recently announced as a semi-finalist of SiriusXm Top of The Country competition. Being a part of the competition brings such great exposure and experience for the artists that are involved. I asked her about what it meant to her to be a part of the showcase.

“It is definitely so exciting. I honestly applied and didn’t want to get too excited or think too much about it and get my hopes up. So when I got the call that I was going to be a part of it, I was like ok great, just because I hadn’t been thinking about it. But it is really so cool and exciting to just be a part of it and you just never know. I got the opportunity to record a new song at The Warehouse and it’s been really cool experience so far. It’s a brand new song and I’m excited for everyone to hear it. It’s hard to find one song that best showcases who I am but I am happy with the song and look for to it being part it!”
